VIRGIN TALES on tour in Canada and the USA

From Vancouver I travel to Woodstock where VIRGIN TALES is a finalist in the international competition of the celebrated indie film festival. My highlights: I’m being joined by part of my film crew (sound woman Judy Karp, on the left, and editor Sabine Krayenbühl, on the right) and in the audience sits director Jonathan Demme (Silence of the Lambs, Philadelphia, The Manchurian Candidate, Cousin Bobby, Married to the Mob, Stop Making Sense…..etc….). He’s awarded the Maverick Award at the end of the festival, and Sabine Krayenbühl receives a special mentioning for her excellent work as editor for VIRGIN TALES!

Variety Review

There’s something indescribably creepy about watching teenage girls at father-daughter purity balls pledge to marry men just like Daddy, which is why Mirjam von Arx’s scrupulously respectful stance in “Virgin Tales” is the wisest position she could take.
